A PHD from Japan performed a course of lectures on Academic writing skills development in the Center "Prospect"

Public talk “The voices of women in modern Abkhazia” in the frame of "Profile" project took place on March 28 at the Center “Prospect”.

March 1-st, meeting of the UNHCR Regional Representative Johannes Van Der Klaauw with local Civil Society Organizations took place in the Center Prospect. Participants of the meeting were CSOs: "Studio Asarkia", “Association of Women of Abkhazia”, "Center for Children with Disabilities Gal", “Abkhaz Desk”, ”Aiaaira”. The CSOs gave gave brief descriptions of their main activities and discribed their future plans.

December 19, a COBERM III Stock-Taking event was held at the Center Prospect. The meeting was attended by Ms. Caroline Stampfer, the FPI Project Manager at EU Delegation in Vienna, and Ms. Irina Liczek, the COBERM Project Manager. The representatives of local civil society organizations present at the event had made presentations highlighting the results achieved and knowledge gained during the third phase of the COBERM project, which ran from 2016 to 2018.

UNHCR Regional Representation in South Caucasus, in order to ensure the dissemination of information among all interested partners and taking the local context into consideration, has made the decision to extend the submission deadline for calls on expression of interest for the following programmes:

1. Information and legal support to vulnerable groups of the Eastern and other regions of Abkhazia" (ABK/2018/01)
2. Improving self-reliance and livelihoods (ABK/2018/02)
