The participants were the beneficiaries of the CSSP program, as well as civil society organizations working in the field of medicine and possessing the appropriate competence and resources. CSOs beneficiaries of the CSSP program: “Amra 2014”, AIS, “Asarkial”, “Development Center” (the Diabetes School project) explained about the results of their work, the target groups and the most pressing challenges they faced during the implementation of projects. A brief presentation was followed by a plenary discussion, during which the most urgent challenges were discussed, in the field of health care in Abkhazia today.
During the meeting, the CSOs discussed two main areas of work in which their efforts can be combined to reach the synergy: providing vulnerable groups with necessary medical preparations and creating conditions for socialization and adaptation of people with disabilities. Special attention was paid to the most acute challenges in the fight against the spread of tuberculosis, as well as helping people with diabetes.The importance of the meeting in terms of timely exchange of information between organizations in order to increase the effectiveness of professional cooperation was emphasized by participants. They noted the importance of such a format of meetings, as well as the need to expand it due to inclusion of other CSOs working in this field.
