The project is divided into four stages: conducting trainings on the forum-theater methodology, which implies interactive role-playing games; two flash mobs with the participation of schoolchildren; interviews with participants affected by the accident; collection of statistical data that will be disseminated through social networks.
PROFILE - Denis Samanba-Polyakov
July 11, as part of the "PROfile" project a public-talk of the traveller Denis Samanba-Polyakov was held in the Center Prospect. This year, Denis Samanba-Polyakov made an incredible journey from Vladivostok to Moscow by hitchhiking. Theme of the public-talk is "How to make a journey of all life from an ordinary trip".
"PROfile" is a series of lectures, public-talks presented by interesting, successful people, professionals in various spheres of life. The main goal of the project is to acquaint the wide audience with the unique experience and ideas presented by invited speakers.
The School of Media Literacy
The Foundation for Socio-Cultural Initiatives of Abkhazia invites you to take part in the training of media literacy trainers in the framework of the project "Media Literacy School in Pitsunda".
The training program includes:
▪ Study tour to Yerevan, Armenia (from October 15 to October 21, 2018 / number of successfully selected participants 8 people)
▪ Training weekly seminars in Pitsunda, Abkhazia (from October 7, 2017 to March 29, 2019)
Socially active people who are interested in media education and media literacy are invited to participate in the selection, and also have a strong motivation to share their knowledge with others.
What is offered to the participants:
- Ability to participate in high-quality training;
- Knowledge and skills on the issues of conscious "media consumption", namely: information, the role of the media, opposition to propaganda, manipulation and hate speech;
- Training material, which will be developed by the Project specifically for training citizens.
How to become a participant of the training:
To participate in the competitive selection, fill in the online application no later than August 17, until 18:00.

The authors of the best applications will be invited to receive training.
Due to the large number of applications, only selected participants will be informed. Such a message can be expected within 5 days of the completion of registration.
Participation Details:
▪ The total duration of the project is 6 months. Each participant completing the application form confirms his readiness to complete a full course of studies, both in Yerevan, Armenia, and in Pitsunda, Abkhazia.
▪ Upon completion of the training sessions, each participant undertakes to conduct 2 trainings in Pitsunda;
▪ The Fund takes care of transport expenses, food, accommodation and training in Yerevan, Armenia;
▪ The Fund takes care of providing weekly transportation expenses for participation in trainings in Pitsunda;
▪ It is compulsory to have a Russian internal or foreign passport for the purchase of tickets.

Meeting for CSSP grantees
25 July, 2018 a meeting with the representatives of the civil society organizations whose projects were selected in the competition in the framework of the Joint EU-UNDP Civil Society Support Program (CSSP) took place in the Center Prospect. During the meeting, representatives of the CSOs were introduced with the Grant Managment Guidance Note in the framework of CSSP. Representatives of the CSOs also made brief presentations about their projects and discussed possible complementarities and synergies among the projects supported under CSSP grant mechanism.
